Pigeon Forge #3

Laurel Falls! Henry almost made it the whole way up... but then we had to carry him. It didn't help that it was about 54 degrees out and we all had shorts on! Wyatt conked out about half way up... too bad he didn't get to see the falls. We can show him pictures later... :) The trail up and back was beautiful!!! A great time of year to do it...

Pigeon Forge #2

Henry loved the pinball machine in the basement. He actually got pretty good at it - and would even share and let us all take turns! :)

Pigeon Forge... #1

Jonathan surprised me last wknd and took us to Pigeon Forge! I usually figure out his surprises, so this was very unexpected... and I really had no idea. We were needing a family get away, and this was just the trick. Weather was perfect for the smokey mountains, and the cabin we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous!
This was an awesome tree right off the deck.
Henry at the candy store in Pigeon Forge... You can only imagine. He was wound up before we even went in!!! :)

lovely

before I had kids, things like excessive drooling and runny green noses, and food covered clothes kind of grossed me out. seriously, i had a hard time overlooking those things. my mom always told me i could with my own kids. i didn't believe her. and while i can say that those things are still a little gross :), i never imagined that i could indeed kiss over them, love them, and let them nestle their snot-nosed face in my neck... and not even care!!!! :) this little guy is too sweet... i love him with all my heart!

Coffee anyone?

Henry likes coffee. He keeps asking for it when I drink mine in the morning. So I designated the purple flower cup (sorry bud) as Henry's coffee cup. He waits until it's "warm" and drinks it black. He usually chases it with his OJ :)

Wyatt just watches and smiles. I gave him a haircut last night. Not sure it was my best decision ever, but I was really getting tired of the stringy hair hanging on his forehead. Oh well... sorry Wyatt. It will grow back.

Krispy Kreme

Tuesday night, we went to a soccer game for Maddie (our Mirimar neighbors). We love watching the kids, and Henry does too! He gets so excited to see "Jackshon, Maddie, and Manna" - (Henry's pronounciation). Unfortunately, in order to get to the fields, we park in a Krispy Kreme parking lot. We both know there is NO WAY we are getting out of the parking lot w/out Henry begging for a donut! So we caved...


Who cares that it was dinner time? No big deal... we can handle donuts at 6:30pm... I unwisely left the donut picking to Jonathan... who ret'd to the table with a DOZEN donuts just for our family! I said... what were you thinking? He said, "well, I asked for a 1/2 dozen, but she said it was only a dollar more to get a dozen, so I thought, well that makes sense." I just looked at him...








Needless to say, we had a great time with the Renshaw's!

Go Colts!

So yesterday my mother-in-law emailed to ask if I could send her a picture of the boys in their Colts gear. I had to laugh when my response was... well, not today... Henry peed on his jersey earlier this morning and Wyatt spit up sweet potato all over his. Both are in the laundry. Isn't that the life of a young mom?? :) So after laundry day, I was able to round up these pics. I have a new trick with Henry (works about 50% of the time) - I tell him "don't smile" when I really want him to smile - I sometimes get a more natural looking smile vs. the strained scary face!!

I'm a Princess!

I had a good friend over the other day and we were looking through our wedding album. Henry has never seen it. He came over to look at it with us... and saw our pictures... he said, "That's Daddy! That's Mommy! Mommy's a princess!" (pronounce 'princess' as 'printhess')... it was the cutest thing I have heard yet! With that, I took some pics of our wedding album since we got married before the digital age was a rage! :) Good memories...

Where's Wyatt?

I was shooting off some emails while Wyatt was playing in the family room... I heard him start crying... but I thought, hold on buddy, I'm coming... then he kept getting more upset. So I ran out to see what the deal was... couldn't find him... then I realized he had gotten up under the train table!! Too funny... poor guy... I made him stay there crying while I took the pictures and then called Jonathan and Henry in from outside to come see him! Then, I got him out and gave him lots of love! :)
