We pulled out at 5am. Henry went right to sleep and woke up at 7am. Wyatt whined and cried and needed adjusted and situated about 4 times... But finally fell asleep and is still sleeping at 7:45am. Myles slept about 15 min... and is still awake.

Cocoa Beach

Took the boys to Cocoa Beach this afternoon. Stopped at Jetty Park which is right by Port Canaveral. You can watch the cruise ships go out to sea... Pretty cool!! The kids loved it! Saw the brand new Disney ship set for its first voyage this Saturday. It was ENORMOUS!! The kids were amazed. We also saw dolphins and sea turtles!!! Such a great afternoon! At the end, we met up with Jonathan's Uncle Milt and Aunt Cindy for dinner. They are also on vacation and leaving on a cruise Saturday. It was perfect... They had not met Myles yet, so it was a real treat!

Had two more encounters today with people at the pool about Myles. Two ladies who are believers... One has a 7-week old granddaughter with DS who was in for heart surgery today. It was such a blessing to meet her and pray with her--she was so encouraged to see Myles playing at the pool happily! The other lady was with her husband and 17-yr old daughter who had DS. They were actually from the Dayton area too. So, another really great day filled with God's blessings!

Disney Boardwalk

The boys requested that we return to the Boardwalk. It was a lovely evening for a walk. After seeing Myles in the sand (eating as much as he could), I was glad we weren't on a beach vacation ;) An older couple stopped us to comment on our family... Telling us they also have a grandson who has DS. He is 3 and they were so encouraging and were also believers. I love how God allows us to connect with other believers even when we are outside of our typical sphere. Such a blessing!!

By the way....

.... It's a GIRL! At least the tech was about 90% sure... So stay tuned for any updates :)

Five months this week (20 weeks). This preg has def been different than the past three. Maybe b/c it's possibly a girl, maybe b/c I'm 33 instead of 26, maybe b/c it's my fourth and the body just isn't what it used to be!! Who knows... Either way, thankful for all that God has given!!

Our early riser...

... about 6-6:30am every morning. He must not have gotten the vacation memo :)

A trip to Celebration

"Celebration City" is right across the street from where we are staying. We took the boys over for a special treat and an evening walk. It was a beautiful night out!! There are several ponds there with walking paths. As you can see, we discovered quite a bit :)

Florida!

We decided to take a spring break vacation this year since we can't take a summer vacation. We are in Kissimmee again - in a very familiar location. We planned a little late b/c of baby news, so we took what we could get. But this has been very good b/c it's a kid-friendly place and we already know our way around. The kids did a great job traveling - and we are having a wonderful time together. The weather has been perfect -- and there are lots of pools and activities to choose from. Here are a few pics of our time together so far... things to note:

1. Myles has displayed a SERIOUS attitude when in the pool. There is an awesome pool that is zero depth, so he has freedom to roam. The minute you even touch him, he completely throws a fit b/c he thinks you're taking him out. It's hilarious! He LOVES the water.
2. Wyatt just gets stranger in the water. He is in a completely different world with his goggles... he spends 75% of his time submersed. AND, he splashes complete strangers... usually older people. He'll just swim over to them and hover... then he splashes them basically until they notice. We have finally threatened discipline if he continues to do that :) He is completely happy to play on his own if Henry has met friends -- and loves to go under water and look at us with his goggles.
3. Henry makes friends EVERYWHERE we go. At the park, the pool. the shuffle board... he just says 'My name is Henry'... 'do you want to play tag?' He has always been like this - loves to meet new people, loves to play with other kids. It's so funny :) He is also displaying so many maturing acts of kindness. He opens doors for people, carries up groceries, helps unload the car, and cleans up the table. It's been a delight to see him grow to do these things on his own without so many reminders.
4. I bought us some goggles for this trip. It is SO fun! We look real dorks, but it's totally worth it to play with the kids! It's also great the boys are so good in the water on their own... we can enjoy sitting in the sun or playing with them in the deep end. A real blessing!

St. Patrick's Day

We started a tradition a few years ago on St. Patrick's Day. A leprechaun comes to visit at night and if the boys leave "gold" in their shoes, the leprechaun will take the gold and leave them green lemon poppyseed muffins. It's pretty exciting... seriously, it's like Christmas but better b/c you're not trying to confuse anything about Jesus' birth with Santa Claus. Anyways, the kids were super pumped this year. Their ages are incredible for things like this... it's so fun! They had so many questions about leprechauns, and pots of gold, and rainbows... etc. B/c Jonathan's family has an Irish history, it's fun to really play this up.

*This may be the leprechaun who made the muffins??*

Finished up that evening with a game of basketball! The boys have been LOVING playing. They play on the real hoop in the front b/c it lowers, but they also play on the deck a lot. Super fun!
