Meemaw and Pa

My mom and dad came for a visit this past wknd. We had a wonderful wknd!! We went to Waynesville, had ice cream, ate out breakfast, played crouquet and only took on one project. Usually, we have a list full when they come b/c they are "task-oriented" people... or at least my mom is. My dad just shrugs his shoulders and keeps repeating, "I'm retired, my time is my own." They have very different view points on how to spend their time! :) Dad won crouqet... Devon could have won, but he was too busy trying to shoot Henry with a water gun -- that he spent about 8 turns at one wickett.

The project we tackled was making the boys sandbox a little smaller. It required some cutting with the sawzall (that's my spelling for it) and some shoveling, etc. Jonathan came out geared up full dressed with socks and tennis shoes. My dad just about stripped down and was barefoot... love it! Thanks Mom and Dad!!! We had a great time!

Together

I'm always looking at other friend's blogs and just wondering how in the world they get the cutest pictures of their little ones... together. I scratch my head and think, gee, I must be doing something wrong. No one wants to smile at the same time, or one is grabbing the other smiling while the one getting grabbed is screaming, one is looking while the other is not, etc... you know the routine. So this morning, the boys actually had on the same pj's. This is rare since I have very few clothes for them that match. And voila! They were agreeable to taking pictures together! It really brought me so much joy - I know that sounds silly, but I think it brings every mom great joy to have snapshots of their kids together to tuck away for future enjoyment... btw, if you haven't gotten to know Wyatt yet, look at that first picture. It will give you a good glimpse into his true personality :)

Fort Wayne Visit cont..

This is a continuation from the last post... forgot about the order.. sorry. It's too late at night for me to be motivated to reverse the order! The picture of Wyatt in the trailer is so funny - he was so upset when we put him in there! But he did love the John Deere -- he was a fan of that. Henry found a babydoll in the shed we were cleaning out. He loved it... asked Meema if he could take it home. Of course, she said yes. Jonathan wasn't thrilled.. :) The best part was when my dad put him down for a nap and we went into check on him and he had Sammy, the dog, and the babydoll all laying on his chest... so cute!!! He'll make a great daddy someday!

Visit to Fort Wayne

Last week was Jonathan's last week of school which is always insane... so I was able to go spend sometime last week at my parents house... It was great to relax there and help them out a bit. It was also a wonderful time to see all of my sisters/nieces and for Henry and Wyatt to see cousins and 2nd cousins. We missed Jonathan... but not too much since we were having so much fun! :)

Munchkin

This is the best word I can think of to describe Wyatt... he is so darn cute. He loves waffles and likes to sit on Jonathan's guitar case when he is doing anything in detail - like playing with calculators or eating waffles... :) He loves the camera!
