Happy Birthday Uncle Devon
Yesterday was Devon's birthday. Henry asked me all day long when we were going to "have Devon's birthday?" I think he was equating cake with birthday - when we went to their house for dinner, he said he wasn't hungry for food, he just wanted Devon's birthday. Then he'd go ask Beth, "Where's Devon's birthday?" It was so funny! All of Henry's S's that come in the middle of a word are pronounced as th's -- so 'lessons' are 'lethons' and 'outside' is 'out-thide' -- and all of his S's at the beginning of words are F's. So 'swimming' is 'fwimming' -- so sweet.

Smiling?
Oh dear, we need to work on smiles! I love these little guys... they are too cute!
Henry and I spent the morning outside while Wyatt took a nap. It was so beautiful! And I was just savoring the last few days we'll have in this neighborhood. I came around the corner and Henry was sitting on the front step - he had picked up the newspaper and informed me that he was "reading" it. Out loud... it was amazing. He was just making up things -- so cute!

Wyatt
Preparing to move
We had a crazy wknd trying to get packed up. We have to be out this week - and will be staying with Devon and Beth for a few weeks. Their house is going up for sale now, so we are all keeping on our toes! :) Henry acts as if he has no idea that anything is going. He has never once asked why we have boxes, where the couch is, where his dresser is, where all his toys went, where the book cabinet went... nothing! I think he is enjoying the all of the commotion
. I'm sure there will be some aftermath... but maybe not. My mom keeps reminding me how resilient kids are.
-
Some of us were hard at work... and others of us... well, let's just say we were all working in our own ways... ha ha :) I'm just joking... that was the first break they had taken all day!
Henry and Jackson (our next door neighbor) are buds. It will be extremely sad to leave him -- but we know we are not far and will be back to visit.

Mirimar St
Well, it finally happened. We are so thankful yet so sad all at the same time. We love this neighborhood and absolutely love our neighbors and we even love our home, so we are sensing a huge loss as we are packing. At the same time, we are feeling blessed to get into a new home with more space to grow in and being closer to church will be wonderful. Things are moving fast - we sold our house on June
25, as long as all inspections go well, we'll close on July 9, and have to be out by the 13th... at this point, we are still waiting to see if an offer we made on another house is going to be accepted.
