My oldest sister, Tanya (in the middle of the top picture) visited with her husband, Scott, and one of her daughters (Kami) and husband (Bryan) this past weekend. We had a lot of fun! Kami is also expecting... but she is not due until June. How often does an aunt get to be pregnant with her niece?? :) When you're from a family of 8, anything is possible!

We made some homemade cut-out cookies last week and then put icing on top! Henry LOVED them. And thought he should have at least two with every meal that day... and the next... :) We also went to the district cross country race on Saturday. The weather was awesome - we got to see two of the youth from our youth group compete. It was really great to see everyone working so hard! What a great sport!

Meet Mr. Zippy (the green thing with wheels) - It's our next door neighbor's, but Henry is in love with it. He goes through different phases of excitement, but for about the past 6 months, he has been pretty attached. We've been outdoors a lot lately enjoying the fall weather! It's so great now that the weather has cooled down.

I haven't been on my picture A-game, so since I'm running low on recent selections, I decided to post some old pictures. These are all from October of last year - so Henry would have almost been 1. It's crazy how fast the times goes!!
But of course, slower in the middle of the night when you're awake :)

We went to the Springboro vs. Fairmont HS football game last wknd. Henry had a blast and cheered for both teams! The next morning it was chilly and we baked muffins for breakfast. Henry loves to watch them if I turn the oven light on. And also, in the last picture, he's been really trying to show off with his cup. He thinks it's cool that he can drink out of his cup and hold something in his other hand at the same time... He'll keep looking at us from behind the cup until we verbally acknowledge the skill.
Talent at such a young age... :)

We got home from church tonight and had some pizza in the basement... while I was in the laundry room, Henry tripped over something and fell right onto one of Jonathan's weights. Yikes! Here is the evidence the weight left behind - poor Henry! He has taken more hits to the forehead in the past week then in his whole little life... :(
He seemed fine before bedtime, and the bump didn't look near as dramatic once it had time to calm down. So we're not too worried at this point....
Jonathan had to fix and replace our kitchen faucet. My dad will appreciate the comfortable setting that Jonathan provided for himself. He's not into plumbing anyways, so he wanted to make it as enjoyable of an experience as possible! Henry joined in with the work - he loved all of the tools and he really got into being just like Daddy. Later, Jonathan put him to bed and they both fell asleep. After an hour, I wondered what had happened to Jonathan.... only to find him fast asleep in the rocker with Henry!

Labor Day for Henry was a big deal. He had never been to a parade that throws candy. They don't do that here in Kettering, OH -- they think it's a liability! But in small town Upland, they must not mind kids possibly choking on candy b/c they threw plenty of it! I think we went through 3 packs of Smarties by 10:30am before we realized we were going to have to cut this kid off!
Later, we washed the car. The weather was so amazing!

Meet Baby Cooper #2 --- while we DID NOT want to find out the gender we were having, the Lord had another plan :) We went for the ultrasound and they wanted to practice with their new 3D-4D equipment on us for free. How could we turn down that offer? We told the doctor and the technician we DID NOT want to know the gender.... well, what do you know, while he's pointing out the umbilical cord - I guess he doesn't realize that the baby's got its legs spread wide open. We're having a boy!
The doctor felt very bad, and while he never confirmed one way or the other what it actually was (and we never asked) -- Jonathan and I were both certain when we got out to the car that we knew what we saw... there's no mistaking those 3D's....
We were also able to visit Jonathan's family over the wknd - we had a good time just relaxing as usual. That is very easy to do at the Cooper's.
