the last night...

Dinner our last night. I think we were all weary of eating by then! :) The musicians in the background were pretty typical of most nights -- there was always good music and good scenery...
We found a Starbucks in the Vienna airport... We were very, very tired and probably spent more time on their comfy chairs then they would have liked. Oh well - we spent about $25 just getting 2 muffins and 2 coffees - we figured we earned our seats for at least a few hours!

Arrival from Armenia!

We finally arrived back home from Yerevan, Armenia. We had an amazing time at the wedding, but we were so excited to return to the boys. I thought I'd post some quick pictures of our homecoming so I had them to save. We got home late Friday night, so we didn't see the boys until Sat morning. When they first saw us, I'm fairly sure Henry was in shock. He just stared at us... then he ran to us and squeezed for a very long time. It was precious. I wonder if he thought we might not come back. Wyatt wasn't sure what to think! :) I'm sure we'll post some pics of our trip too... but we have much catching up to do -- so this is all for now!

Sweeties

I love these pictures... so sweet. Wyatt and Henry made a garage band in my kitchen the other day. They played a long time... and I actually enjoyed the racket in a weird sort of way... :) It's such a delight when they play together!

Family Day

We have been working at preserving at least 2 days a month that we really devote to our growing little family. Since we leave in a few days for overseas, we really wanted to make this one special. It hit us how much we never take the kids to any fast food restaurants which we're happy about... however, we were laughing that when we asked Henry what McDonald's was, he just shrugged his shoulders. The only restaurant he knows is Panera. So, we hit McD's for french fries/ice cream.... the best combo ever. And strolled around Waynesville (a little midwest shopping district near us). Then we went to Caesar's Creek - a state park very near to our home. We had so much fun... the weather was beautiful, the kids were cheerful, and the day seemed timeless. I love that feeling...

First 'Blue Crew' Race

Jonathan and I organize a running group at our church. We fondly call it the 'Blue Crew.' The goal is to have as many Clearcreek people at races who are interested - wearing the same t-shirts. We love the fellowship, but our real hope is that it creates opportunities to talk to others about Christ and to be a presence in the community. We had a lot of fun this morning. It was chilly, but sunny! A great way to spend a Saturday morning together with friends and family.

Bath time... so much fun!

I love bath time... for many reasons. The boys laugh and splash, I get to fold laundry or read a magazine while they play, we get warm, cuddly, good-smelling hugs afterward, and it's a sign that bedtime has almost arrived!

Don't Ask, Don't Tell - Volume 2

Henry kept asking me for his green truck. I couldn't find it - so I asked him if he knew where it was. He said, "Oh, yeah, it's behind the red chair." OK -- so I go look behind the red chair. Well, I was amazed at what I found. These items are all things we play with A LOT... cowboy Carl (the white guy), the red hammer, the balloons we've had since Aunt Beth's birthday (I wondered what happened to them, but I assumed I must have popped them since I hadn't seen them for a week or so), the blue football, AND the musical card we recv'd from Grandma Cooper on Wyatt's birthday (surprise it's not out of batteries yet!). These were all items that have been missing for over a week - little did I know... it's like he's a dog hoarding his bones!!

A Visit to Fort Wayne

We went to Fort Wayne last wknd to spend time with Meg and Ryan. It was a good time - and I finally got to squeeze in a short visit with my friend Heather from high school. She recently had a baby boy -- too bad you can't see him here! But it was so fun to see her and catch up. Love you Heather!!

And then of course, we had the crazy kids... I wasn't having much success getting all 5 in one picture. But not bad... we had a great time visiting with Meg and Ryan --

Beth's birthday was February 25th. Devon baked a very special cake to celebrate. Isn't it pretty?? We were impressed more by the design than the taste... ha ha... it actually was pretty tasty! It really was beautiful!

Henry celebrated with us... and then, I guess, must have fallen asleep at the top of the steps while we were all celebrating. Remember those days?... Mom and Dad put you to bed but good smells and cheerful sounds kept floating upstairs - my sister and I used to spend a lot of time at the top of the steps -- how fun that we now have our own little munchkin at the top of the steps, but now we're the ones having fun staying up late!! :)
